SAEA REAL ESTATE EXCELLENCE AWARDS
Introduction
SAEA Ltd initiated the Real Estate Excellence Awards to recognize the professional accomplishments and conduct of accredited agencies/agents/salespersons in this vital and growing industry. The first Excellence Awards ceremony was held in 2008 in conjunction with the inaugural Real Estate Congress co-organised by the Singapore Institute of Surveyors & Valuers (SISV) and the Association of Singapore Estate Agencies (ASEA), supported by FIABCI and endorsed by SAEA Ltd. The Real Estate Congress is now a major calendar event within the industry with a number of agents vying for the Awards in each of 2 categories, namely:
(a) Best Salesperson
- Performance
- Client Service
(b) Best Leader
Details of Awards
(a) Best Salesperson
i. Performance
The 1st Award in this category is based the performance of the nominee both quantitatively and qualitatively. To begin, it shall be based on 24 sales/lease transactions (inclusive of cobrokerages) of the agent nominated over the qualifying period 1 Jun 08 to 31 Jul 09. The transactions should have been properly completed and commissions from these transactions received by the accredited agency. The nomination must be supported by copies of actual documentation certified by the accredited agency.
Second, this Award also demonstrates that performance or results is a product of professional, ethical conduct. Quality should produce quantity. The nominee(s) will be subject to an interview by the Panel of Judges.
ii. Client Service
This 2nd Award under the category offers an opportunity for the client (vendor, purchaser, landlord or tenant) to nominate the agent who has delighted him/her with exceptional service. The following are examples of quality service displayed by the agent nominee:
· Punctuality at appointments
· Adequate real estate knowledge
· Conscientious attitude
· Puts client’s interests first
· Goes an extra mile for the client
The client(s) must sign the nomination form and would oblige to a short phone verification interview.
(b) Best Leader
The nomination must be submitted by the CEO/MD of the accredited agency. The nominee should have been with the accredited agency for no less than 2 years and other than good sales record, he/she should possess one or more of the following traits:
· Leadership of a team of minimum 5 agents
· Exemplary conduct which upholds the accredited agency’s core values
· Demonstrates tenacity, high adversity quotient or good self-management and promotes upgrading of learning.
Entry Criteria
All SAEA accredited agents or salespersons will be eligible for the award. An associate of an accredited agency awaiting CES results or has applied for CES course/examination may also be nominated. Proof of CES course/examination registration must be produced.
All SAEA accredited agents or salespersons nominated must be attached at least 6 months to an accredited agency except for Best Leader Award, which is minimum 2 years.
All nominations must be submitted by the agency management or client i.e. the CEO/MD or buyer, seller, tenant or landlord who deals with the salesperson during the period 1 Jun 2008 to 31 Jul 2009.
All nominated agents or salespersons are required to submit a dossier of their background experience in the real estate industry and details of the transactions involved.
All nominated agents or salespersons are required to submit an employment letter from the accredited agency.
All nominated agents or salespersons must have conducted 24 successful transactions during the period 1 Jun 2008 to 31 Jul 2009.
Nomination Process
An accredited agent or salesperson can be nominated for any or all Categories of Award. However, nomination for each category shall be submitted in separate forms.
Deadline for submission by nominator is 31 August 2009.
Sections A and B are to be filled by nominator
Nominee will be contacted thereafter upon receiving the submission form.
The winners will be informed on 30 September 2009. These awards will be presented at the Real Estate Congress 2009 at Grand Hyatt Hotel on 8 October 2009.
